Upon declaration of a local or state emergency as defined in section 3-12-2 of this chapter, the director of building and safety of the city of Helena shall have the power to order the immediate vacation of any building in the city of Helena. Only those buildings determined to be dangerous buildings pursuant to section 302 of the uniform code for the abatement of dangerous buildings shall be ordered vacated. Such vacated buildings shall not be reoccupied until such buildings have been inspected and approved for occupancy. The director of building and safety may, because of the nature of the construction and occupancy of certain types of buildings, permit occupancy without inspection. (Ord. 2379, 10-7-1985)
