9-7-1: FEES FOR PERMITS:
The applicant for a permit under this chapter shall pay at the time his application is submitted, and the village clerk shall collect a fee as follows:
   A.   Sidewalk: 1% of the cost of construction or repair, but in no case less than $15.00.
   B.   Driveway:
      1.   Residential property, 16 feet or less in width, with no change in the grade of the sidewalk - $10.00.
      2.   All others - $15.00. (1985 Code)
   C.   Excavations: The fee shall be such amount as is established from time to time by the village board; and the board may also require from each applicant a security deposit to ensure full and satisfactory restoration of the premises. (Ord. 03-02, 4-3-2003)

GARBAGE COLLECTION FEES

9-8-1: FEE:
Garbage collection charges assessed to residents shall be established from time to time by the board of trustees.
Any monies collected in excess of the costs incurred for contract payments for the service and administrative costs shall be retained in the fund and shall be used to defray the cost of future garbage collection services. (Ord. 16-20, 7-21-2016)
9-8-2: WHEN DUE:
All said charges shall be paid by the thirtieth day of the month following the date of billing, and shall incur a ten percent (10%) interest charge after thirty (30) days of nonpayment from date of said billing. (1985 Code)
9-8-3: DELINQUENCY:
All such garbage collection fees shall be due and owing by the occupant or resident occupying, and by the person or persons owning, said single-family unit or unit in said multiple- family dwelling during the period of such service to the village of Hampshire, in accordance with the terms herein stated. In the event the charges for garbage collection are not paid within thirty (30) days after the rendition of that bill, then such garbage collection fees shall be deemed and are hereby declared to be delinquent. If the delinquency in the payment of the garbage collection fees continues for a period of more than thirty (30) days, the garbage service may be discontinued. (1985 Code)
9-8-4: SUIT:
The village may from time to time sue said occupant or resident, or owner, or both of them, in a civil action to recover the money due for services rendered, plus a reasonable attorney fee to be fixed by the court. (1985 Code)
9-8-5: BILLS, RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT:
   A.   The owner of the premises served by refuse collection services, and the occupant thereof and/or user of the services, shall be jointly and severally liable to pay for the services on said premises. Such services are rendered to the premises upon the condition that the owner shall be liable for the charge therefor, and that the occupant of the premises and/or user of the services shall also be jointly and severally liable with the landlord to pay for the service.
   B.   Billings shall be sent to the owner of the premises, but may, at the request of and as a convenience to the owner, be sent to any other customer; provided, the refuse collection bill shall not be sent to a party other than the one who receives the water/sewer bill. Any agreement between an owner and an occupant of the premises and/or user of the services regarding payment of the refuse collection bills shall not be binding on the village. (Ord. 94-1, 1-20-1994)
