Before any permit described in Section 1329.01 may be granted, the person seeking a permit must post a completion bond (either cash or surety) to insure the completion and closure of such road opening, to the benefit of the Village, in the amount equal to the estimated cost associated with backfilling and/or repairing the opening, the excavation, the tunnel, the pavement, the berm, the tree lawn, or the area within the right of way of the public street which was opened, excavated or tunneled under and not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) unless such bond is dispensed in accordance with Section 1329.02. The bond amount required shall be determined by the Village Engineer.
