A. Any person convicted of violating subsection 6-1-2A, section 6-1-3 or 6-1-4 of this chapter shall be fined and shall be assessed applicable court costs in accordance with the fines and court costs established from time to time by state statute or regulation for the same violations upon state controlled highways.
B. The fine for each violation of subsection 6-1-5A of this chapter shall be ten dollars ($10.00) if paid within one week of the date of the violation notice; twenty five dollars ($25.00) if paid within one month of the date of the violation notice; and fifty dollars ($50.00) thereafter. Fines shall be payable to the "Village Of Germantown Hills" at the village hall, 216 Holland Road, Germantown Hills, IL 61548.
C. The fine for each violation of subsection 6-1-5B of this chapter shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) if paid within one week of the date of the violation notice; one hundred dollars ($100.00) if paid within one month of the date of the violation notice; and one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) thereafter. Fines shall be payable to the "Village Of Germantown Hills" at the village hall, 216 Holland Road, Germantown Hills, IL 61548.
D. The village may pursue a violator in court who has not paid the total fine for any violation of subsection 6-1-5A or B of this chapter within one week after the date of the violation notice. In the event the village pursues a violator through such a court action, the violator may no longer settle his outstanding fines for the amounts provided in subsections B and C of this section. Instead, the violator shall be responsible for payment of a fine in an amount not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense, together with all applicable court costs, upon conviction. The village attorney shall pursue such violators in court upon the direction of the village president. (Ord. 707, 8-23-2012)
