ORDINANCE NO. 714
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF GERMANTOWN HILLS
ADOPTING THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF GERMANTOWN HILLS, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the ordinances of the village of Germantown Hills have, heretofore, existed only as a collection of separate ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the village board of the village of Germantown Hills has determined that it is in the best interest of the village and its citizens to codify the village's ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the president and board of trustees of the village of Germantown Hills, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. The code which is presented to the village board this 13th day of December, 2012, and published by Sterling Codifiers and incorporated herein by reference is hereby declared to be and shall hereafter constitute the official village code of the village of Germantown Hills.
Section 2. The code of ordinances shall be known and cited as the Germantown Hills Village Code and is hereby published by authority of the board of trustees and shall be supplemented to incorporate the most recent legislation of the village as provided in section 1-1-3 of the Germantown Hills village code.
Section 3. All general ordinances of the village passed prior to September 13, 2012, are hereby repealed, except such as are included in the Germantown Hills village code, subject to the saving clause set forth under title 1, chapter 2 of the village code of Germantown Hills.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
Section 5. This ordinance is hereby ordered to be published in pamphlet form by the village clerk and said clerk is hereby ordered to keep at least three copies hereof available for public inspection in the future and in accordance with the Illinois municipal code.
PASSED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF GERMANTOWN HILLS, ILLINOIS, AND APPROVED BY ITS PRESIDENT THIS 13TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 2012.
