Yield right of way intersections within the village are hereby established as shown on the sign map. It shall be unlawful for a driver not to yield the right of way at a yield sign. Upon conviction, the driver of the vehicle shall be subject to the penalty in section 6-1-7 of this chapter. Village employees are authorized and directed to place yield signs at or about the locations shown on the sign map to give notice of the requirement of drivers to yield the right of way at these intersections.
