Electricity
   EDITOR’S NOTE: Pursuant to Ordinance 02-12, passed January 3, 2012, Council has established the rates for electric power within the Village. Such rates are not codified herein. Copies are on file with the Clerk-Treasurer.

937.01 ELECTRIC LINE EXTENSIONS; COST RESPONSIBILITY.
   (a)   The Village Administrator may consider electrical extensions and to expend Village electric fund money to potential customers whose service would be adjacent and contiguous with the corporate limits. Proposals shall be approved by motion and vote of Council.
 
   (b)   The Village Administrator will consider electrical extensions, beyond corporate limits outside the parameters of subsection (a) hereof. The prospective customer must provide an economic analysis including construction costs, consumption estimates, equipment costs and other applicable information that may be required by the Village. The Village Administrator is authorized to enter into a contract which would provide a guarantee of electrical consumption to cover the Village’s capital investment. Proposal and contracts must be approved by Council motion and vote. (Ord. 28-87. Passed 5-4-87.)
937.02 DEPOSIT CHARGES.
   (a)   Electrical customer deposit charges are hereby established for all rental consumers of the municipal electric utility as follows:

   (b)   Such sums shall be deposited with the Clerk of the Utility Department and shall be collected by such Clerk and deposited in the Electric Deposit Fund.
 
   (c)   All rental consumers who previously paid a higher deposit, will be entitled to a refund for the difference between the old required deposit and the one established by this section, upon a receipt or proof of Deposit Payment. All owner-occupied both residential and commercial, will be entitled to their refund of deposit upon presentation of proof of deposit. All refunds shall be processed, and shall be paid by check through the Clerk-Treasurer.
