133.03 OBJECTIVES.
   Areas of concern which the Commission On Aging may review and make recommendation for are the following:
   (a)   To function cooperatively with existing senior or elder citizens clubs or associations in providing a program of nutrition availability on a City-wide program.
   (b)   To provide, where possible, outreach services to City residents who may be ill, disabled, living alone and without other personal assistance.
   (c)   To provide, if possible, a clearing house or information center for older persons regarding the availability of services affecting them.
   (d)   To assist and promote transportation opportunities for individuals or groups, if possible.
   (e)   To develop, where advisable and possible, a volunteer program designed to promote the health, welfare and personal well-being of the elder City residents in cooperative ventures, including but not limited to:
      (1)   Telephone reassurance programs.
      (2)   Voluntary service programs with medical schools and/or hospitals.
      (3)   Preventative health programs.
      (4)   Leisure time activities.
      (5)   A program of volunteers or centerwork community activities or personal assistance.
      (6)   To promote and establish, by direct contact or referral, a job center.
      (7)   A volunteer youth staff chore service to assist elder residents
to perform simple household chores.
