The Commission On Aging shall have as its purposes:
(a) To establish an Office On Aging within the City government.
(b) To establish cooperative endeavors between the Office On Aging and the Advisory Council with the City government to:
(1) Coordinate resources, both public and private.
(2) Function in an advisory role on behalf of older persons.
(3) Seek and obtain new and continued funding for aging programs.
(4) Involve older persons in the planning for an evaluation of services designed to meet the needs of senior citizens.
(c) To identify local needs of elder people and to develop the means to meet, implement or initiate programs for them.
