(a) On July 1 of each year the Finance Director shall disperse to each and every member of the Auxiliary Police Force on active duty in such classified service on such date, such sum as provided by ordinance for a uniform allowance.
(b) Each member receiving such allowance shall be required to have and maintain full uniforms in good condition according to the rules and customs of the Auxiliary Police Force. Should the Safety Director find that any member's uniform is below standard, and/or such member is not using such allowance for the purpose intended, he shall cause such payment to be withheld until such failure to maintain such uniforms is corrected.
