There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for installation and maintenance of electrical materials in dwelling units consisting of one, two, or three families, and all other locations not covered by the Ohio Basic Building Code, that certain code known as the National Electrical Code, recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, being particularly the most current edition, and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the installation and maintenance of all electrical materials in one, two or three family dwelling units and all other locations not covered under the Ohio Basic Building Code contained within the corporate limits of the City.
