(a) In every hotel or motel there shall be an office in which shall be a copy of the license posted, and a register of the guests.
(b) It shall be the duty of the person in charge, together with the licensee, to:
(1) Keep at all times a register of all guests, showing the name and address of each guest, dates of entrance and departure, license number and make of all automobiles, and states issuing such automobile licenses. This register shall be kept available for inspection at all times by State, Federal and City officials.
(2) Maintain the hotel or motel in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
(3) Report to the Building Commissioner any and all violations of this chapter which may come to his attention.
(4) Report to the Building Commissioner all cases of persons or animals affected or suspected of being affected with any communicable disease.
(5) Maintain proper fire preventive facilities as required or directed by the Chief of the Division of Fire.
(6) Prohibit the use of any room, unit or suite by a greater number of occupants than that which it is designed to accommodate.
(c) In every apartment or multiple dwelling structure, a copy of the license shall be posted in a conspicuous place, available for inspection by the proper City officials.
