525.07 OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS; DESTROYING CITY PROPERTY.
   (a)   No person, without privilege to do so and with purpose to prevent, obstruct, or delay the performance by a public official of any authorized act within his official capacity, shall do any act which hampers or impedes a public official in the performance of his lawful duties.
 
   (b)   No person shall knowingly and willfully resist, obstruct, abuse, or hinder any police officer, fireman or other officer in the execution of his office.
   (c)   No person shall knowingly and willfully hinder or obstruct any fire company, rescue squad, police vehicle or any driver, operator or occupant thereof from freely passing along the streets of the City to or from a fire or other emergency, nor in any manner abuse, obstruct, hinder or prevent any fireman, policeman or other official from operating and performing his lawful duties at any fire, crime scene or other emergency.
 
   (d)   No person shall injure, deface, molest, tamper with, take, remove or destroy any City vehicle, apparatus, appliances or equipment. (Ord. 39-1967. Passed 4-24-67.)
   (e)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree. (ORC 2921.31; Ord. 80-1973. Passed 12-10-73.)
