339.15 LOAD LIMITS ON GRANGER ROAD.
   (a)   Notwithstanding any other provision contained in this chapter to the contrary, from and after the effective date of this section, no trucks, trailers, semitrailer and pole trailers which have a load limit of two tons or greater shall be operated or moved upon Granger Road or any portion thereof which lies within the corporation limits of the City.
   (b)   No buses, as defined in Section 339.02(a)(7) shall be permitted on that portion of Granger Road which runs west from North Granger Road to the corporate limits of the City and on that portion of Granger Road which runs east from the corporation limits of the City to South Granger Road.
   (c)   Subsection (a) hereof shall not apply to trucks, trailers, semitrailer and pole trailers with a load limit of two tons or greater which service industrial and commercial firms located within the City for which the access to such industrial and commercial firms can only be gained by the use of Granger Road; nor shall subsection (a) apply to trucks, trailers, semitrailers and pole trailers with a load limit of two tons or greater which must delivery or pick up goods or property located on Granger Road provided the driver of such vehicle only operates his vehicle by the shortest way possible between the State, Federal or City truck routes denominated by Section 339.13 and the place of delivery or pickup on Granger Road, or otherwise as directed by a police officer; nor shall subsection (a) apply to fire engines, fire trucks, or other vehicles or apparatus belonging to any municipal corporation or to any other governmental agency, or to the volunteer fire department of any municipal corporation or salvage company organized under the laws of this State or used by such department or company in the discharge of its functions.
