The contracts shall be entered into for a period of not more than three years and shall provide as follows: (Ord. 21-1996. Passed 2-26-96.)
(a) Daily storage rates of cars ordered stored on the premises of not more than fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day. It shall be at the discretion of the Chief of Police, Prosecutor, or the Prosecutor's designee to release all stored vehicles at no cost.

(b) The operators shall maintain in force during the period of agreement, public liability insurance in limits of not less than fifty thousand dollars/one hundred thousand dollars ($50,000/$100,000) for personal injury, and five thousand dollars/ten thousand dollars ($5,000/$10,000) for property damage. The City shall be enumerated as one of the insured in such policy for activities directly connected with or arising out of the authority created by this chapter. The operators of the storage pounds shall pay the cost of such insurance and file a memorandum thereof with the Finance Director.
(c) Storage service shall be available twenty-four hours per day.
(d) The City shall not in any event be responsible for unpaid storage charges.
(e) The contractees shall file quarterly records of the number of cars stored, auto license registration numbers of such autos and the name of the police officer, if any, requesting the service.
(f) The contractees shall save harmless and indemnify the City from any and all loss or cause of action which is directly or indirectly the result of the storage activity and shall further provide notice of such indemnification to his or its insurer.
