(Ord. 17-1982. Passed 12-20-82.)
(b) The City does not recognize a regular or quitting time in view of the many complexities of operation by employees of the City. (d) Holidays, birthdays and sick leave taken, whether for actual illness or for death in the immediate family are not to be understood as a working day.
(e) Vacation pay shall be based on a forty-hour week except as otherwise provided.
(f) Birthdays, when permitted or authorized as a fringe benefit day, must be taken on the actual birthday. Such birthdays are not considered a working day and shall be compensated only on a straight-time basis.
(g) Sick leave shall be credited as provided by ordinance. No advance sick leave shall be permitted to any employee.
(h) When an employee is called in to work at other than his regular work time, he shall be authorized a minimum of two hours as show-up time even though he actually worked less than two hours.

All hours worked on snow and ice removal during the regular work day, that is, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shall be paid at regular rate and shall not receive time and one-half for hours worked during the regular work day regardless of the hours they have worked during a given twenty-four hour period.
