§ 3.05.125 COMMISSIONER OF STREETS AND PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS.

   The Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements shall manage and control the street system of the village and shall report to the Council regarding the same.

§ 3.05.130 BOND.

   Each Commissioner shall execute and cause to be filed the appropriate bond required in §§ 3.05.005 through 3.05.045.

§ 3.05.135 SALARY.

   The Mayor and Commissioner shall each receive compensation as may be determined by ordinance, except that neither the Mayor nor any of the Village Commissioners shall receive an increase or decrease in compensation during their respective terms of office. All compensation payable to either the Mayor or the Village Commissioners shall be reviewed and approved consistent with Illinois law.

VILLAGE COUNCIL

§ 3.05.150 REGULAR MEETINGS.

   Regular meetings of the Gardner Village Council shall be held on the first Monday after the Mayor and Commissioners have entered upon the performance of their official duties, and on the second and fourth Mondays of each month thereafter, or as the Village Council may otherwise direct.

§ 3.05.155 SPECIAL MEETINGS.

   Special meetings of the Village Council may be called from time to time by the Mayor, by two Commissioners or upon motion of the Village Council. Any special meeting shall not occur unless notice of any special meeting is posted not less than 48 hours prior to the date and time of any special meeting, and an agenda of the special meeting shall also be posted within the 48-hour period. Any special meeting shall also comply in all respects with the Illinois Open Meetings Act, as amended.

§ 3.05.160 EMERGENCY MEETINGS.

   (A)   Emergency meetings of the Village Council may be called from time to time by the Mayor or by any Commissioner, except that an emergency meeting of the Gardner Village Council shall only be held in the event of a bona fide emergency. Notice of an emergency meeting shall be given as soon as practicable, but in any event prior to the holding of any emergency meeting. Any notice of an emergency meeting shall also require the posting of an agenda for the emergency meeting. Both the notice of emergency meeting and agenda shall be posted at the Gardner Village Hall or at the building in which the emergency meeting is to be held. The Gardner Village Council shall also supply copies of the notice of any emergency meeting to any news media that has filed an annual request for the notice.

   (B)   Any emergency meeting shall also comply in all respects with the Illinois Open Meetings Act, as amended.
