§ 7-5 INSPECTION OF VEHICLES.
   Any police officer of the City of Flint shall have the right, at any time, to inspect any vehicle licensed under the provisions of this ordinance to determine if the vehicle is equipped with such equipment as is required by the statutes of the State of Michigan and the ordinances of the City of Flint, and to determine if the vehicle and equipment are in proper condition and adjustment as required by the statutes and ordinances.

ARTICLE II. ATTENDANTS AND DRIVERS
§ 7-6 CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS; FIRST AID EQUIPMENT.
   No person, firm or corporation shall operate or cause to be operated any ambulance, public or private, or any other vehicle commonly used for the transportation or conveyance of the sick or injured, without having such vehicle equipped with a set of simple first aid and splint appliances approved by the Health Officer and having in attendance at all times such vehicle is in use persons who have obtained certificates of fitness as ambulance attendants from the Health Officer.

§ 7-7 OPERATION OF AMBULANCE; EMT-A COURSE.
   No person shall drive, attend or permit to be operated, any ambulance used for the transportation of the sick and injured, unless it shall be under the immediate supervision and direction of an individual who is holding a currently valid license as either an attendant-driver or as an attendant. At least one of such individuals holding a currently valid license as an attendant-driver or attendant shall have successfully completed the Emergency Medical Technician- Ambulance (EMT-A) course recognized and/or certified by the Michigan Department of Public Health.

§ 7-8 RENEWAL OF CERTIFICATES OF FITNESS.
   Certificates of fitness as ambulance attendants as provided herein shall be annually by persons holding said certificates. Renewal certificates shall be issued by the Health Officer as provided in § 7-6 hereof for issuance of original certificates. Upon failure of any person to renew said certificate as herein provided, such certificate shall be cancelled by the Health Officer.
