147.01 CREATION.

   There is created a Board of five directors who shall constitute the Library Board of the City, as defined by West Virginia Code 10-1-5.

147.02 TERMS OF OFFICE; VACANCIES; REMOVAL; COMPENSATION.

   (a)   All appointments to the Library Board shall be for terms of five years.

   (b)   Vacancies in the Board shall be immediately reported by the Board to Council, and filled by appointment in like manner, and, if an unexpired term, for the remainder of the term only.

   (c)   A director may be removed for just cause in the manner provided by the bylaws of the Library Board.

   (d)   No compensation shall be paid or allowed any director.

147.03 POWERS; COMPLIANCE WITH STATE CODE.

   (a)   The Board of Library Directors shall have the powers as prescribed by West Virginia Code 10-1-1 et seq.

   (b)   The Board of Library Directors shall comply with all of the provisions of West Virginia Code 10-1-1 et seq.
