5-1A-1: ADOPTION OF STATE MISDEMEANOR STATUTES; VIOLATIONS:
   A.   Adoption: All misdemeanor offenses and any amendment thereof contained in the Oklahoma Statutes, including, but not limited to, title 21, are hereby adopted and included herein by reference and made a part hereof, as if fully set out herein.
   B.   Violations: It shall be unlawful and a violation of this code for any person to commit an act or acts which constitute misdemeanors, pursuant to the Oklahoma Statutes, and any amendments thereof. The municipal court shall have full authority to hear and sentence on all such violations of the law.
   C.   Conflicts: In the event of conflict between elements of the offenses specifically set forth in the code and the state statutes adopted by reference, prosecutions will be conducted under the state statutes and any amendments thereof adopted by reference.
   D.   Penalty: In no event shall fines or incarceration exceed the jurisdictional limits imposed by the Oklahoma legislature on the municipal court. (2002 Code)
5-1A-2: OFFENSES; PENALTY:
Except in cases where a different punishment is now or may hereafter be prescribed by ordinance, any person who commits an offense shall, upon conviction, be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day upon which a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. (1980 Code §§ 14-1, 14-72; amd. 2002 Code)
