The city has leased its water and sewer sanitation systems to the Drumright utilities trust authority, a public trust. The trust has power to let water and sewer sanitation systems. The motions and resolutions adopted by the trust replaced any ordinances which the city had relating to these matters. For the motions and resolutions passed by the public trust, please refer to the minutes of the Drumright utilities trust authority. A copy of the trust indenture relating to the leasing of these systems shall be and remain on file in the office of the city clerk. (1980 Code ch. 18 note; amd. 2002 Code)
A. Each occupied residence and each occupied business or commercial building in the city of Drumright, Oklahoma, shall connect to the city's water, sanitary sewer and gas utility system within sixty (60) days after the adoption of this section; provided, however, that said sixty (60) days does not begin to toll until said water, sanitary sewer and gas utility system is constructed and such service shall be brought within at least two hundred feet (200') of the residence or business property line.
B. Any person, firm, corporation or entity violating any provision of this section shall upon conviction thereof, be liable for a fine of not to exceed twenty dollars ($20.00) and each day that any violation of any provision of this section is allowed to exist shall be and constitute a separate offense.
