   This article derives from the 1976 South Carolina Code of Laws and generally accepted municipal practices. Although various state laws regarding the regulation of alcoholic beverages have been repealed, this article has been included to provide guidance to the town and to assist law enforcement officers.
§ 14.201  DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this article, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS. Any spirituous malt, vinous, fermented, brewed or other liquors or any compound or mixture thereof by whatever name called or known which contains alcohol and used as a beverage.

§ 14.202  JURISDICTION OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT.
   The Municipal Court shall try and determine all cases involving any violation of this article occurring within the corporate limits and shall have jurisdiction over such criminal cases. The Municipal Judge shall send such cases occurring within the corporate limits but beyond its jurisdiction to try to the higher courts.
