§ 71.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   MOTOR DRIVEN VEHICLE. Any vehicle, conveyance or equipment which is propelled or driven by a motor or engine.
   PARKWAY. Any area within a public street right-of-way which is not a public sidewalk or traveled roadway.
   PUBLIC SIDEWALK. Any area used by the public for a pedestrian walkway within or along a street right-of-way.

§ 71.02 DRIVING ON SIDEWALKS PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to operate or park, or cause to be operated or parked, any motor driven vehicle on the public sidewalks or parkways of the city, except that nothing contained herein shall prohibit the movement of such vehicles or conveyances across a public sidewalk or parkway at right angles to the sidewalk or parkway in order to gain ingress or egress from property adjacent to the sidewalk if due regard and care for the safety of pedestrians is observed.

§ 71.03 EXCEPTION.
   Nothing herein contained shall prohibit the operation or use of mechanical or motorized equipment specifically designed and used for snow plowing or removal and/or lawn maintenance.
