5-2-23: RECREATION IN RIGHT OF WAY:
   A.   Recreation Equipment: It is unlawful to sled, ski or toboggan, or operate a snowmobile on, over or across the streets, alleys, and rights of way of the village, except as may be provided in this code. Every person who rents sleds, skis, toboggans or snowmobiles within the village shall inform all persons renting the equipment that sledding, skiing or tobogganing on, over or across village streets, alleys and rights of way is prohibited.
   B.   Horses: No person shall ride a horse, except on designated bridle trails or designated trails to and from rental stables to the approved bridle paths. Such trails will be clearly marked and a map of approved bridle trails shall be maintained in the village clerk-treasurer's office and it shall be available for public inspection during the normal workweek. Where permitted, horses shall be thoroughly broken and properly restrained and ridden with due care, and shall not be allowed to graze or go unattended, nor shall they be hitched to any rock, tree or shrub.
   C.   Motorcycles: No person shall operate a motorcycle in the village unless such person is riding on a highway, street or upon a private roadway or driveway. No person shall operate a motorcycle on any trail unless such trail has been designated by the board of trustees as an approved motorcycle trail. An approved motorcycle trail will be marked as to its boundaries. A map of approved motorcycle trails shall be maintained by the village clerk-treasurer and shall be available for inspection by the public during normal work hours. (1976 Code § 5-1-29)
