1-9D-1 PURPOSE.
   By virtue of the authority conferred by Chapter 372 of the Code of Iowa, the office of the City Manager for the City is hereby created.
1-9D-2 APPOINTMENT AND TERM.
   The City Manager shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Council at a regular meeting of such body and may be appointed for a term not to exceed two years. The City Manager shall hold office at the discretion of the Council and shall be subject to removal by a majority vote thereof.
1-9D-3 COMPENSATION.
   The City Manager shall receive such annual salary as the Council shall, from time to time, determine by resolution, and time of payment shall be fixed in accordance with that for other City municipal employees.
