A. A business with a license from a previous year may renew its business license for the subsequent year using the same or similar form described in City Code § 3-1-4.
B. Businesses shall not be subject to a fine or penalty for operating until February 1 if the business had a valid license obtained in the previous year. Thereafter, the business shall be subject to all fines accrued after February 1 of that year.
C. Abandonment of a business license:
1. A business license shall be deemed abandoned if a business fails to renew a business license by April 1 of that year.
2. A business that abandons a license must obtain a new business license before resuming business activities and remains subject to all accrued fines, penalties, and late fees described under City Code § 3-1-10.
D. An application to renew a business license shall contain the same information required under City Code § 3-1-4 above.
E. Applications to renew a business license shall be subject to the same fees as described in City Code § 3-1-8 below.
F. The City Manager shall use the same review criteria for a renewal of a business license and makes the findings described in City Code § 3-1-5 above. (Ord. 698, 8-5-2020, eff. 8-31-2020)
