Liens may be filed on real property located within the municipal corporate limits for unpaid and delinquent fire service fees equal to or greater than one hundred dollars ($100.00). In addition to the amount of any delinquency, there shall be added the costs of certified mail postage and recording and releasing the lien in the office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Harrison County, West Virginia. Prior to the lien being filed, the Director will give written notice to the property owner, by certified mail, return receipt requested, that the City will file the lien unless the delinquency is paid within ninety days from the date the notice is mailed. Any requests for adjustments or corrections to the assessment must be appealed pursuant to Section 957.08.
