It shall be unlawful to make any repair, alteration and/or modification to any pressurized part of any liquefied petroleum gas container without first emptying and purging such containers of all flammable gas and without first making a physical disconnection of all connecting piping, taking out sections thereof to make such disconnections. Before making such repairs, alterations and/or modifications, the contents of the container shall be tested and the analysis of the mixture of air or inert gases therein shall be recorded. After completion of the repairs, alterations and/or modifications, the Department of Buildings shall be notified to allow an inspection to be made prior to filling. At that time, written evidence shall be provided to show that all repairs, alterations and/or modifications comply with the code under which the container was originally built.
