The provisions of Section 708 of IBC are adopted by reference with the following modifications:
1. Delete items 2 and 4 in Section 708.1.
2. Delete the exceptions to Section 708.3.
3. Delete exceptions 2 and 4 to Section 708.4.
4. Delete the exception to Section 708.4.1.
5. Add a new item 3 to Section 708.4.2 to read:
"3. In Group R-2 occupancies not more than four stories above grade plane and not exceeding 60 feet (18 288 mm) in building height, the attic space shall be subdivided by draftstops into areas not exceeding 3,000 square feet (279 m2) or above every two dwelling units, whichever is smaller."
6. Delete the exceptions to Section 708.4.2.
