The mechanical equipment inspection section – ventilation, of the department of buildings shall visit or cause to be visited all such places of business as often as it shall deem necessary to see that the provisions of this chapter are complied with, and said mechanical equipment inspection section – ventilation, of the department of buildings shall have authority to require that such arrangements be made as may be deemed necessary for the safety and health of the employees, pursuant to the provisions of this Code and such laws as may be in force concerning health and sanitary conditions.
It shall be the duty of every person licensed under this chapter to comply with the fire regulations of this Code applicable thereto. The fire commissioner shall periodically inspect each such place of business to determine compliance with the applicable fire regulations of this Code.
