18-28-1105.5 Refrigerant detector.

Machinery rooms shall contain a refrigerant detector with an audible and visual alarm. The detector, or a sampling tube that draws air to the detector, shall be located in an area where refrigerant from a leak will concentrate. The alarm shall be actuated at a value not greater than the corresponding TLV-TWA valves shown in Table 18-28-1103.1. Audible alarm(s) shall be placed directly outside of the machinery room. Visual alarm(s) shall consist of a flashing yellow light placed directly over the machinery room door(s) with a sign that states:

DANGER
DO NOT ENTER WHEN LIGHT IS FLASHING

PELIGRO
NO ENTRAR CUANDO LA LUZ ESTE
