4-344-020  License – Required.

No individual shall take charge of, manage or operate any steam engine or boiler, or any portion of a steam plant, in the city without a license, as provided by this chapter.
Engineers in charge of locomotives and engineers or boiler or water tenders in charge of boilers carrying not more than ten pounds pressure of steam per square inch shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter.
Every person who violates this section shall be fined in accordance with Section 13-12-040 for each offense, and each day that any such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense; and any person owning or controlling any steam engine, boiler or other steam plant who shall authorize or permit any individual without a license, as required herein, to take charge of, manage or operate any steam engine or boiler or any portion of a steam plant, shall for each offense be fined in accordance with Section 13-12-040, and each day that any such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
