ARTICLE IX. MECHANICAL VENTILATING SYSTEMS* (13-20-290 et seq.)

Every mechanical ventilating system shall be inspected under the authority or pursuant to the mandate of the buildings commissioner as often as the buildings commissioner deems necessary; provided, however, that inspections of mechanical ventilating systems in places for eating, as that term is defined in Section 4-8-010 , shall be governed by Section 4-8-042 .

The fee for the inspection of a mechanical ventilation system shall be $5.00 per 1,000 cubic feet of air per minute or fractional part thereof required by the building provisions of this Code to be circulated for ventilating purposes, including the mechanical supply and exhaust systems; provided, however, that no such charge shall be less than $50.00.

ARTICLE X. GAS HOLDERS* (13-20-310 et seq.)

Every tank or gas holder containing more than 2,500 cubic feet of explosion hazard gases within the city shall be inspected at least once every five years, as required by Chapter 15-4 under the direction of a building inspector appointed by the building commissioner.
