   The Village of Chatham believes that you may be the owner of the animal. The animal may be redeemed at the Sangamon County Animal Control Center, 2100 Shale Road, Springfield, IL, 62703, after payment of impoundment fees, costs, and all applicable County charges to the Sangamon County Animal Control Center. You should pay all fees directly to the Sangamon County Animal Control Center. Please note that the Sangamon County Animal Control Center will require cash, certified check, or cashier’s check.

Also, please take notice of the following:
1.   As set forth in § 90.22 of the Village of Chatham Code of Ordinances, the Village of Chatham’s impoundment fee is $50. Any other violations of this ordinance other than those pertaining to vicious, dangerous, or biting animals shall be fined at $50 for the first offense and $100 for a second and subsequent offense pursuant to § 90.99.
2.   Impoundment checks should be paid directly to the Sangamon County Animal Control Center.
