335.05 REPAIR GARAGES TO KEEP RECORDS; INFORMATION TO BE SHOWN.
   (a)   Any individual engaged in the repairing, for a consideration, of body damage to motor vehicles shall maintain a ledger or record of all motor vehicles repaired and of all motor vehicles which they have examined and given an estimate for repairs needed to the body, bumpers or grill thereof. Such ledger or record shall be kept at the place of business of the individual, and shall include the name of the person requesting the estimate or repairs; his address; the license number and make and model of the vehicle; the portion of the vehicle damaged; the nature of the damage; and, the date when the estimate was given or the repairs performed. Such record shall be available for inspection by the Police Department, upon request, at all reasonable times.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
