(a) Council authorizes the establishment of a Board of Directors for the Downtown Redevelopment/Innovation District which shall be composed of the following members:
(1) The Mayor or designee;
(2) A member of Canton City Council, to be appointed by the Mayor; and confirmed by City Council;
(3) A representative from an internet/technology firm;
(4) A representative from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce;
(5) A representative from the Downtown Canton Partnership;
(6) Two (2) additional members nominated and affirmed by the Board;
(b) No person shall be required to be a resident of Canton or to have a business in Canton, Ohio, to be a member of the Board.
