1505.02 PURPOSE AND SCOPE.
    The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum fire protection standards for buildings and multi-family dwellings that were not required to install smoke detectors, fire alarm system or fire extinguishers, when the building or multi-family dwelling was constructed. Where smoke detectors, fire alarm systems or fire extinguishers were or are installed in buildings or multi-family dwellings in conformity with a higher or more restrictive standard of Ohio's Basic Building Code than is required by the provisions of this chapter, then the Ohio Basic Building Code shall be the applicable standard.
