It shall be the duty of the Chief Building Official to enforce the provisions of this chapter, and he is hereby authorized and directed to remove or order the removal of all signs hereafter erected in violation of this chapter, signs that are insecure, in danger of falling or otherwise unsafe, and all signs where the business or purpose of same has been discontinued.
