(a) Upon approval of an application for a telecommunications contractor's license by the Examining Board, after the submission of a proper application and satisfactorily passing the examination, the Electrical Inspector shall issue to such applicant a license to engage in the business of telecommunications contractor for the calendar year in which such application was made.
(b) The City Chief Building Official may suspend or revoke the telecommunications contractor's license issued to any person under this chapter after due notice and opportunity for a fair hearing if the licensee fails to comply with this chapter or the statutes of the State of Ohio or has been guilty of gross neglect or misconduct or fails to maintain the qualifications to perform the work of telecommunications contractor or is otherwise in violation of the provisions of this chapter. Any person aggrieved by a decision of the City Chief Building Official revoking or suspending a telecommunications contractor's license, may appeal such decision to the Board of Telecommunications Examiners by filing written notice of such appeal with the City Chief Building Official and also with the Board of Telecommunications Examiners within ten days after the decision is made. The Board of Telecommunications Examiners shall, within fifteen days of the filing of such appeal, conduct a hearing reviewing the suspension and/or revocation at which the facts and circumstances of such suspension or revocation shall be reviewed; and after which hearing the Board may affirm, reverse or modify such suspension and/or revocation. The decision of the Board of Telecommunications Examiners may be judicially reviewed by appeal to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas in accordance with Ohio R.C. Chapters 2505 and 2506.
