1321.07 BOARD OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS EXAMINERS.
   (a)   There shall be a Board of Telecommunications Examiners which shall consist of two electrical contractors doing business in the City of Canton, two telecommunications contractors doing business in the City of Canton, and one electrical engineer, all of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. In addition to the foregoing appointed members, the Chief Electrical Inspector of the City of Canton and the Chief Building Official of the City of Canton shall be permanent members of the Examining Board. Initial appointments of the five members appointed by the Mayor shall be for terms of one, two, three, four and five years. Upon the expiration of such original terms and thereafter, the Mayor shall appoint, with the approval of Council, successor members for terms of three years each.
 
   (b)   The Examining Board shall meet, organize and select a chairman within thirty days after January 1 of each year. The Electrical Inspector shall serve as Secretary of the Board.
 
   (c)   The presence of no less than five members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business of the Board. The Board's decisions shall be concurred in by at least three members of those present for any meeting.
 
   (d)   The Board shall make such rules and prescribe such procedures and adopt such examining formats as may be necessary for the conduct of its operations in conformity with this chapter. (Ord. 221-92. Passed 11-16-92.)
