1321.02 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter, certain terms are defined as follows:
   (a)   "Telecommunications wiring and installation work" means the installation, alteration or replacement of low voltage wiring and cables and related conductors, devices and apparatus for operating equipment used for the transmission of signals and/or information including, but not limited to, telephones, telegraph, cable television, satellite television, computers, telecopiers, burglar and security alarms systems and monitoring systems, and other similar telecommunications equipment.
   (b)   "Telecommunications contractor" means any person, partnership, corporation or other business entity which performs the installation, alteration, repair or replacement of low voltage telecommunications wiring work as defined in this chapter under contract with the owners, lessees, or persons otherwise in control of any building premises within the City of Canton.
   (c)   "Residential structure" means any single-family, two-family or three-family dwelling house.
   (d)   "Commercial structure" means any dwelling house containing four or more family units and also any other structure used for any private or public business purposes.
   (e)   "Low voltage wiring" means and refers to wiring and cable circuits having limited capacity to conduct electric current and falling within the parameters for voltage and amperage specified for Class II and Class III circuits as set forth and defined in Article 725-31 of the National Electric Code and the tables referred to and incorporated therein.
