(a) The fees for licenses and permits to demolish a building or structure or any part thereof are as follows:
(1) License fee and renewal | $150.00 |
(2) Permit for demolition of a garage or other outbuilding (accessory building having area of not more than 720 sq. ft.) | 35.00 |
(3) Permit for demolition of a single dwelling, duplex or triplex | 75.00 |
(4) Permit for demolition of a four-unit or greater residential structure and any commercial or industrial structure | 150.00 |

(b) The foregoing permit fees shall be paid to the Code Enforcement Department prior to the beginning of any demolition work. Any person, firm or corporation who fails to obtain permits required by this section prior to the beginning of work shall be required to obtain and pay for the permits which were originally required and, in addition thereto, shall also pay a penalty twice the amount of the original permit fees.
