1313.17 INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM EXEMPTION.
   An electrical contractor who holds a valid license and is currently registered with the City of Canton may perform or directly supervise the performance of electrical installation, repair, alteration or addition in connection with an instructional program for individuals who are not licensed journeymen or registered apprentices, if all of the following requirements are met:
   (a)   The instructional course or program is taught or sponsored by an electrical contractor licensed by the State of Ohio and currently registered with the City of Canton;
   (b)   Any and all permits otherwise required for the work to be done shall be taken in the name of the sponsoring contractor;
   (c)   The contractor shall directly supervise the performance of the instructional work;
   (d)   The work to be performed is done for the benefit of a recognized non-profit or charitable entity or upon referral from a recognized non-profit or charitable entity; and
   (e)   The contractor shall provide to the Chief Building Official the names of the participants, the location where the work is to be performed and the expected duration of such work on forms prescribed by the Chief Building Official.
