1301.15 EMERGENCY WORK.
   (a)   In case there shall be, in the opinion of the Chief Building Official, or his designee, actual and immediate danger of failure or collapse of a building or structure or any part thereof so as to endanger life or property, he shall cause the necessary work to be done to render such building or structure or part thereof temporarily safe, whether the procedure described elsewhere in this Building Code has been instituted or not.
   (b)   For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this section, the Chief Building Official may employ such supervisors, workmen, equipment and materials as may be necessary.
