1301.01 QUALIFICATIONS OF CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL.
   To be eligible to appointment the Chief Building Official shall have had experience as or be a registered architect, registered engineer or have been a building contractor or superintendent of construction within the last ten years, with at least five years of general experience in building construction. He shall be generally informed on the quality and strength of building construction, on the prevailing methods of building construction, on good practice in fire prevention, and on the accepted requirements for safe exit facilities. He shall be in good health physically capable of making the necessary examination and inspections of building in the course of construction. He shall not have any interest whatever, directly or indirectly, in the sale or manufacture of any material process or device entering into or used in or in connection with building construction.
