All public moneys received by the City of Canton shall be classified for purposes of deposit and investment procedures as "active" and "interim", as defined in Section 155.01 of this chapter and Ohio R.C. Chapter 135. (The City of Canton does not maintain "inactive moneys" as defined in Ohio R.C. Chapter 135 and therefore no provisions concerning the deposit or investment of "inactive moneys" are provided in this chapter.) The provisions of this chapter shall supplement the provisions of Ohio R.C. Chapter 135, Uniform Depository Act. In interpreting and applying this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall supersede the provisions of any ambiguous or conflicting portions of the Ohio Revised Code.
