(a) The City shall reimburse an employee for one-half the cost of tuition for one (1) course per quarter or semester if:
(1) The employee's appointing authority preapproves;
(2) The course is work-related;
(3) The course was taken at an accredited, degree-granting college or university; and
(4) The employee earns at least a grade of "C" or its equivalent.
(b) If the employee leaves City employment within a year of the completing the course, the employee shall repay the reimbursed amount. The Auditor shall withhold that amount from the employee's final paycheck, excluding amounts paid for hours actually worked.
