A classified employee is eligible for reinstatement for a period established by Ohio law. During that time, the employee may continue hospitalization, life insurance, and health benefits by paying to the City the established monthly rate for individual or family coverages according to federal law. The employee does not earn sick leave, vacation, longevity, or years in service. The employee accrues seniority for promotional purposes.
