An employee on workers' compensation and unable to perform their employment duties as a result of those injuries continues to receive medical, prescription, vision, and dental insurance during the period of disability for up to a year by paying the employee's share of the monthly premium. For up to a year after that, the employee may receive those benefits by paying the City-established monthly COBRA rate for individual or family coverage. The employee does not accrue sick leave, vacation, or longevity.
