(a) Application. All persons or companies seeking permits for the storage, collection, transport and/or disposal of solid waste and/or hazardous waste, and for the operation of incinerators, sanitary landfills, transfer stations and resource recovery facilities shall make application to the License Department of the City. The application shall contain the following:
(1) Name and address of the applicant, showing its legal identity (individual, partnership, corporation, etc.);
(2) Business address of applicant;
(3) Approval by other federal, State and local regulatory agencies; and
(4) All other information required by the Director of Public Service.
(b) Issuance. The Department shall review the application and shall issue a permit, valid for one year, upon its determination that such application complies with all federal, State and local laws, and meets the approval of the Director. In the event that the application is rejected, the Department shall notify the applicant, in writing, setting forth the reasons for the rejection. Nothing in this section shall prevent any applicant from reapplying after the rejection.
(c) Renewal. A permit holder may renew an existing permit provided an application is submitted to the Department not more than sixty nor less than thirty days before the expiration date thereof, and providing further, that there is continuing compliance with the requirements of this section.
(d) Fee. Every application, re-application or renewal application shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) in cash, certified check or money order form.
(e) Revocation. In the event a permit holder is in violation of any of the provisions contained in this chapter, the permit shall be subject to revocation upon notice and hearing.
